(3E)-4-(Tributylstannyl)-3-buten-2-one is an intermediate in the synthesis of 3-Carene-D3 (C183453), Deuterium labelled isotope of 3-Carene, which is a mutagenic compound that may be found in the fumes of heating freshly cut spruce and birch chips. 3-Carene is also found i many esential oils and it inhibits acetylcholinesterase activity.
