N,N'-Dimethylhydrazine dihydrochloride (CAS# 306-37-6) is a potent carcinogen that acts as a DNA alkylating agent. It is used to induce colon tumors in experimental animals. It was also used in preparation of spiroisoquinolinedione aldose reductase inhibitors.
