Resin Control Enzyme Cutinase Enzyme in Pulp and Paper
Cutinase is classified as a hydrolase. This enzyme not only catalyzes the hydrolysis of ester bonds in insoluble plant cutin but also acts on other fatty acid esters. In the textile industry, cutinase SJ30 is used for bioscouring cotton fibers and for the biological modification of synthetic fibers. In the paper industry, it addresses problems related to adhesives formed during the pulping of waste paper (such as OCC, MOW, OMG, ONP) and resolves issues with resin barriers encountered during the pulping of softwood materials.
