Everolimus
Everolimus, also known as RAD001, is a derivative of the natural macrolide sirolimus with immunosuppressive and anti-angiogenic properties. In cells, everolimus binds to FKBP-12, generating an immunosuppressive complex that binds to mTOR and inhibits its activation.
