Source and Preparation | This product is a mixture of sorbitol mono-dehydrate, di-dehydrate and three molecules of oleic acid. Its production method is to firstly dehydrate sorbitol at 150-152°C, and esterify it with three molecules of oleic acid under the catalysis of sodium bicarbonate. Or it can be prepared by direct esterification of α-sorbitol and three molecules of oleic acid at 180-280°C. |
