Histamine dihydrochloride is a histamine salt used to prevent relapse in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It is also used as an active ingredient in topical analgesia for temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with arthritis, simple backache, bruises, sprains and strains.
