Pleurain-N1 is an antimicrobial peptide found in skin secretions, Rana pleuraden, Yunnan pond frog. It has antibacterial activity against gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli (MIC=50 μg/ml) and gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus (MIC=12.5 μg/ml), and has anti-yeast activity against Candida albicans (MIC=12.5 μg/ml).
