anti-CD86 immunotoxin 1G10 (IgG)-Gel
This immunotoxin was achieved by conjugating/fusing the anti-CD86 monoclonal antibody to gelonin. It was expressed in CHO and purified with affinity chromatography. The immunotoxin selectively binds to CD86-expressing cells. Once bind, the toxin enters cells by receptor-mediated endocytosis, then gelonin inhibits protein synthesis by damaging the 60S subunit of mammalian ribosomes. It was designed for treatment of Hodgkin's disease or other CD86-expressing tumours.
