Necrox-5 (methanesulfonate)
Necrox-5 is a cell permeable necrosis inhibitor with the antioxidant and cardioprotective effects. It localizes mainly in the mitochondria that selectively blocks oxidative stress-induced necrotic cell death (0.1μM NecroX™-5 prevented ~50% cell death in H9C2 cells exposed to 400μM t-BuOOH for 2 hours LDH assay used). Necrox-5 was demonstrated that protect cells from oxidative stress, hypoxia, cold shock, CCl4-induced liver injury and chronic liver fibrosis.
