SMBA 1
SMBA 1 is a selelctive and high affinity Bax activator (Ki = 43.3 nM) that binds to the S184 binding pocket and inhibits Bax phosphorylation. SMBA 1 exhibits no affinity for other Bcl-2 family members, including Bcl-2, Bak and Bid. SMBA 1 induces apoptosis in lung cancer cell lines which expresses high levels of Bax.
