(Ser8)-GLP-1 (7-36) amide (human, bovine, guinea pig, mouse, rat)
Serine substitution of alanine significantly improves the plasma stability of GLP-1(7-36) amide to DPP IV, but does not affect its insulinotropic activity. This may indicate that the modification can improve the potential of GLP-1 in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
