2-Methyl-4-nitroindole (CAS# 3484-10-4) is a useful synthetic intermediate in the synthesis of AZD1981, a CRTH2 receptor antagonist used in patients with moderate to severe COPD. 2-Methyl-4-nitroindole is also used as a reagent in the preparation of anti-angiogenic pyrroloazaflavones.
