Immortalized Human Brain Microvascular Endothelial Cells- Ras
Immortalized Human Brain Microvascular Endothelial Cells- Ras from Ace Therapeutics are a specialized cell line developed by immortalizing primary cells using serial passaging and transduction with recombinant lentiviruses carrying the Ras gene. These cells have been extensively characterized and demonstrated to maintain the immune barrier properties of primary HBMECs. Each vial contains at least 1×10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.

Applications | Immortalized Human Brain Microvascular Endothelial Cells (IM-HBMECs) offer a cost-effective and practical solution for constructing in vitro models of the blood-brain barrier (BBB). These immortalized cells exhibit exceptional fidelity in terms of barrier resistance, immune migration profiles, and responsiveness to inflammatory cytokines. With their specialized BBB endothelial phenotype, this newly established human cell line provides a readily available in vitro model for studying the properties of the human BBB. IM-HBMECs are particularly valuable for investigating central nervous system infections, offering a valuable alternative to primary brain endothelial cells as a reliable model for studying the blood-brain barrier in such studies. |
