Recombinant Murine FGF-Basic

FGF-basic belongs to the FGF family, encompassing 23 known members. These proteins play pivotal roles in prenatal development, postnatal growth, and tissue regeneration by stimulating cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF-basic itself is a non-glycosylated growth factor that binds to heparin. It is expressed in various tissues including the brain, pituitary, kidney, retina, bone, testis, adrenal gland, liver, monocytes, epithelial cells, and endothelial cells. FGF-basic exerts its effects by signaling through FGFR 1b, 1c, 2c, 3c, and 4 receptors.
Recombinant Murine FGF-basic is a protein weighing 16.3 kDa and composed of 145 amino acid residues.
