CD28 Antibody
The CD28.2 monoclonal antibody binds specifically to human CD28, a 44 kDa homodimer found on thymocytes, mature T cells, and plasma cells. CD28 acts as a receptor for CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2), functioning as a powerful co-stimulator of T cells.
Activation through CD28 enhances the expression of IL-2 and its receptor, as well as the cytotoxicity of CD3-activated T cells. These processes are crucial for regulating immune responses mediated by T cells.
