Anti-ISCU Antibody

The enzyme currently named Iron-sulfur cluster assembly enzyme ISCU, mitochondrial, or in earlier literature NifU-like N-terminal domain-containing protein or NifU-like protein, and encoded by the human gene named ISCU or NIFUN, is a biosynthetic enzyme involved in the assembly of iron-sulfur proteins. There are two isoforms in mammals. Isoform 1 is localized to the mitochondria, whereas isoform 2 localizes to the cytoplasm. ISCU is expressed in a variety of tissues including the brain, heart, skeletal muscle, lung, and kidney.
