Vitamin C (VC) Assay Kit is an assay kit for the detection and quantification of Vitamin C (VC) concentrations in serum, plasma and tissue homogenates using a spectrophotometer. Vitamin C reduces Fe3+ to Fe2+. Fe3+ reacts immediately with reducing ascorbic acid to form Fe2+, which reacts with phenanthroline and the color developing reaction occurs. The content of vitamin C in sample can be determined.
