2-Amino-5-methyl-1H-imidazole
2-Amino-5-methyl-1H-imidazole (CAS# 6653-42-5) is used as a reagent in the synthesis of 1H-pyrrolo[2,3-c]pyridine-7-carboxamides as novel allosteric mGluR5 antagonists. Also used as a reagent in the synthesis of imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidin-5(1H)-ones as beta isoform selective phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) inhibitors.
