Immortalized Mouse Cerebral Capillary Endothelial Cells (cEND)
Immortalized Mouse Cerebral Capillary Endothelial Cells (cEND) from Ace Therapeutics is a specialized cell line developed by immortalizing primary cells using oncoprotein of murine Polyomavirus, Polyoma middle T antigen (PymT). These cell lines share principal features of the BBB in vivo, retaining the endothelial markers VE-Cadherin and PECAM-1, displaying tight junction-associated markers such as occludin, claudin-3, -5, -12, expressing the BBB marker protein Glut-1 and showing high electrical resistance, representing barrier properties. Immortalized Mouse Cerebral Capillary Endothelial Cells (cEND) can serve as a useful model for studies involving the differentiation and regulation of BBB. Each vial contains at least 1×10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
