A-53930 A is a Ca2+ channel blocker produced by Streptomyces vinaceusdrappus SANK 62394. It selectively blocks the activity of N-type Ca2+ channels, but does not inhibit L-type Ca2+ channels. It has weak activity against Gram-negative bacteria.
