Potassium Benzoate, CAS 582-25-2, is the potassium salt of benzoic acid manufactured through chemical synthesis, available as white granular. Potassium Benzoate and Sodium Benzoate are widely used as preservatives in acidic food and beverage. It is widely accepted as safe food additive in many countries with E number E212.
