Qc 1 is a reversible, non-competitive inhibitor of threonine dehydrogenase (TDH) (IC50 ~500 nM), with no detectable inhibition of other dehydroxygenase enzymes at concentrations up to 10 mM. It induces autophagy and inhibits cell proliferation in mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells.
