Bisindolylmaleimide V
Bisindolylmaleimide IV (BIM IV) is a cell-permeable inhibitor of protein kinase C (PKC) with IC50 of 0.10-0.55 µM. It is a weak inhibitor of protein kinase C (PKC) demonstrating an IC50 value >100 µM. BIM IV also inhibits protein kinase A with IC50 of 2-11.8 µM. Bisindolylmaleimide V is used as a negative control for the PKC (protein kinase C)-inhibitory activity.
