3-Propylnitrile Vitamin D3
Propylnitrile Vitamin D3 is an intermediate in the synthesis of Vitamin D3 (V676045), the inactive form of vitamin D3 that is later metabolized to Calcitriol (C144500). Calcitriol is the active form of Vitamin D3, which plays an important role in the regulation of calcium levels in blood by increasing the uptake of calcium from the gut and release of calcium from bone.
