2-Amino-5-methyl-5-hexenoic acid
It is produced by the strain of Streptomyces sp MF-374-C4. It inhibits protein synthesis. On the synthetic medium (His-), it inhibits salmonella typhi TA 1535, and methionine could counteract its activity.
