Lamivudine EP Impurity B
4-amino-1-[(2S,5S)-2-(hydroxymethyl)-1,3-oxathiolan-5-yl]pyrimidin-2-one is an impurity of Lamivudine, a potent nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor and antiviral agent. Lamivudine has also been used for treatment of chronic hepatitis B.
