5(6)-Carboxyeosin diacetate

5(6)-Carboxyeosin diacetate is an amine-reactive, green-fluorescent probe that is commonly used as a photosensitizer and photooxidizer. It is non-fluorescent until the acetate groups are cleaved by either enzymes or by alkali hydrolysis. 5(6)-Carboxyeosin diacetate may be reactive with amines on biomolecules such as peptides, proteins, modified nucleotides and biopolymers using a carbodiimide like EDAC or DIPC to yield a robust amide linkage.
