Bacteriocin enterocin-M

Bacteriocin enterocin-M is an antimicrobial peptide found in Enterococcus faecium AL 41 (Streptococcus faecium). It inhibits the growth of closely related Enterococcus species and a wide range of Gram-positive bacterial species, and inhibits the growth of several strains of the Gram-negative bacterium E.coli, but not the growth of Gram-negative Pseudomonas species.
