Pneumocandin C0
Pneumocandin C0 is a lipopeptide antibiotic produced by Zalerion arboricola. It has a strong anti-Candida effect. It has the effect of inhibiting the synthesis of 1,3 early-glucan in vitro, with an IC50 of 0.07-0.5 μg/mL. Pneumocandin C0 is an impurity of Caspofungin acetate which is an essential component of the cell wall of filamentous fungi.
