A 438079 hydrochloride

A 438079 hydrochloride is a competitive P2X7 receptor antagonist with pIC50 value of 6.9 for the inhibition of Ca2+ influx in the human recombinant P2X7 cell line. It protects against acetaminophen-induced liver injury by inhibiting p450 isoenzymes, but not by inflammasome activation. It partially but significantly prevented the 6-OHDA-induced depletion of striatal DA stores.
