Bruceine B
Bruceine B is extracted from the fruits of Brucea javanica (L.) Merr. It is a potent inhibitor of leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion and shows anti-inflammatory activity. It displays strong antiviral activities with IC50 values of 3.42-5.66 microM and strong antitrypanosomal activities with IC50 values of 2.9-17.8nM. It also shows potent anti-malarial activities with high selective toxicities. It inhibits SMMC-7721, HL-60, MCF-7 and A-549 tumor cells significantly. It also inhibits T cell adhesion to TNF-stimulated HUVEC and neutrophil adhesion to lipopolysaccharide-stimulated HUVEC.
