mPEG-FITC, MW 550-40k

The fluorescent group contained in mPEG-FITC is often used for cell tracing, or tissue labeling. The PEGylated FITC has a maximum excitation light wavelength of 495 nm and an emission light wavelength of about 520 nm. The emitted light is blue-green. PEGylated FITC is easier to bind to small molecules or other materials for labeling.
