This is a monoclonal antibody which is specific for Chloramphenicol (CAP, D-(−)-threo-2-dichloroacetamido-1-p- nitrophenyl-1,3-propanediol), a broad-spectrum antibiotic suitable for the treatment of several infectious organisms1 because of its effective antibiotic activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms.
