Formaldehyde condensate of naphthalenesulfonic acid is a sodium salt consisting of a formaldehyde condensate of naphthalene sulfonic acid, which appears in the form of a solution with brown color and faint characteristic odor, with a water content of not more than 68%. The product dissolves well in water.
