2-Hydroxy-4-iodobenzoic acid (CAS# 16870-28-3) is a salicylic acid derivative that has been assessed for its use as an oxalate production inhibitor in mouse hepatocytes with type 1 primary hyperoxaluria. 2-Hydroxy-4-iodobenzoic acid has been used as a tridentate anchoring group on TiO2 surfaces of solar cells to improve photovoltaic performance.
