Copper-dependent lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs) are key players in the enzymatic conversion of biomass. LPMOs catalyze oxidative cleavage of glycosidic bonds in a process involving molecular oxygen and an electron donor, such as cellobiose dehydrogenase (CDH).
