5-Hydroxydecanoate sodium
5-Hydroxydecanoate sodium is a substrate for mitochondrial outer membrane ACSL (acyl-CoA synthetase) that inhibits ATP-sensitive K+ channels. On perfused rat hearts, 5-Hydroxydecanoate sodium has shown the ability to inhibit the toxicity of 6-hyrdoxydopamine on dopaminergic neurons.
