Labelled analogue of Practolol. Practolol is a selective beta-1 adrenergic antagonist that has been used in the emergency treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. It competes with adrenergic neurotransmitters such as catecholamines for binding at sympathetic receptor sites. It inhibits the effects of the catecholamines epinephrine, norepinephrine and decreases heart rate, cardiac output, systolic and diastolic blood pressure. It has anti-hyperstensive activity.
