Epinecidin-1 is a highly potent marine antimicrobial peptide with anticancer and immunomodulatory activities. The synthetic peptide Epinecidin-1 has the potential to serve as a therapeutic drug used against bacterial infectious diseases. It also showed antiviral activity against non-enveloped, spherical virus (betanodavirus).
