Alkaline Xylanase for Bleaching in Pulp & Paper Industry
The alkaline xylanase is produced through the submerged fermentation of Bacillus subtilis, followed by purification and formulation, and it exhibits endo-1,4-beta-D-xylanase activity. It collaborates with chemical bleaching enzymes to whiten pulp or paper, effectively hydrolyzing xylan within cellulose fibrils into smaller soluble molecular products, thereby loosening fiber structure and enhancing the permeability of cellulosic materials. Alkaline xylanase is suitable for the enzymatic treatment of straw, wood, bamboo, Chinese herbs, tobacco, and feed.
