Ethyl Paraben, CAS 120-47-8, is a member of the paraben family manufactured through chemical synthesis, available as colorless crystals or white crystalline powder. Ethylparaben is widely used as antioxidant and antifungal preservative in food production. It is widely accepted as safe food additive in many countries with E number E214.
