Trimethyloleylammonium chloride is a biodegradable, water-soluble organic solvent that can be used in the formulation of pharmaceutical products. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the growth of fungi and bacteria. Trimethyloleylammonium chloride is used as a carrier for fungicides, such as tebuconazole, which act by inhibiting fungal respiration and cell membrane function, respectively.
