Lactoferricin B (4-14) (bovine)
Lactoferricin B (4-14) (bovine) is thought to be the main protecting component from bacteria at the mucosal surfaces and in colostrum and milk. The region rich in basic amino acids of bovine lactoferricin is involved in the interaction with the bacterial phospholipid membrane and plays an important role in antimicrobial activity.
