Recombinant Human FGF-basic (154 a.a.)

FGF-basic is one of 23 recognized members within the FGF family. These proteins play pivotal roles in prenatal development, as well as in postnatal growth and tissue regeneration by facilitating cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF-basic itself is a heparin-binding growth factor devoid of glycosylation, found expressed in various tissues including the brain, pituitary gland, kidney, retina, bone, testes, adrenal gland, liver, monocytes, epithelial cells, and endothelial cells. FGF-basic transmits signals through several receptors: FGFR 1b, 1c, 2c, 3c, and 4. Recombinant Human FGF-basic is a 17.2 kDa protein comprising 154 amino acid residues.
