Recombinant Human Anti-HHV-2 gD Antibody (E317)

Recombinant Human Antibody (E317) is capable of binding to HHV-2 gD, expressed in HEK 293 cells. Expressed as the combination of a heavy chain (HC) containing VH from anti-HHV-2 gD mAb and CH1-3 region of human IgG and a light chain (LC) encoding VL from anti-HHV-2 gD proteins mAb and CL of human kappa light chain. Exists as a disulfide linked dimer of the HC and LC hetero-dimer under non-reducing condition. The highly inhibitory human monoclonal antibody E317 was previously raised against HSV gD for viral neutralization. E317 directly recognizes the gD-nectin-1 interface and occludes the HVEM contact site of gD to block its binding to either receptor. The binding of E317 to gD also prohibits the formation of the N-terminal hairpin of gD for HVEM recognition.
