MEM (Minimum Essential Medium) is widely utilized as a basal medium to support the growth of both suspension and adherent mammalian cells. Derived as a nutrient-rich variant of Basal Medium Eagle (BME), MEM is particularly suitable for a variety of cell lines including Hela, BHK-21, 293, HEP-2, HT-1080, MCF-7, fibroblasts, and primary rat astrocytes.
