Glibenclamide potassium salt is a salt form of Glibenclamide, a KATP channel blocker used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Glibenclamide binds to and inhibits the sulfonylurea receptor 1 (SUR1), the regulatory subunit of the ATP-sensitive potassium channels (KATP) in pancreatic β cells.
