Caerulein precursor-related fragment Eb

The source of Caerulein precursor-related fragment Eb is Rana esculenta. This peptide has no sequence similarity with antimicrobial peptides isolated from other species of ranid frogs. It potently and selectively inhibits the growth of the Gram-positive bacterium Escherichia coli (minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC<5 microM)).
