Rp-8-Br-cAMPS is an analogue of the cAMP with a preference for type I of protein kinase A. Compared to Rp-cAMPS, it has more lipophilic and membrane-permeant properties. Rp-8-Br-cAMPS effects against mammalian cyclic nucleotide-dependent phosphodiesterases.
