Anti-Human LTBR Therapeutic Antibody (BG9924)
Recombinant Humanized monoclonal antibody expressed in CHO binding to Human LTBR. The Phase II trial of baminercept (BG9924, LTβR-Ig) in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients who have had an inadequate response to conventional therapy with a disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) did not meet its primary endpoint. LTβR-Ig consists of the human LTβR extracellular domain fused to the human IgG1 Fc domain. It binds to LT α1/β2 and LIGHT ligands on activated lymphocytes and natural killer cells, blocking interactions with their receptors on peripheral antigen-presenting and stromal cells.
